Niche edits and link insertions

A niche edit, or link insertion, is a link added to an article that’s already published. The page is indexed, often already ranks, and your link starts counting sooner than on a brand-new post.

Why people buy niche edits

  • Speed: no new article needs to be written, published and indexed.
  • Existing authority: the page may already have backlinks and traffic of its own.
  • Price: usually cheaper than a guest post on the same site.

The catch

You depend on an article that already exists. If it’s only loosely related to your page, the link looks forced, to readers and to Google. A good insertion sits in a sentence that would have made sense even without the link. If no existing article fits, a guest post is the better choice.

How to buy a link insertion here

  1. Choose a site that offers link insertions.
  2. Optionally suggest the article you’d like your link in; otherwise the publisher picks a relevant one.
  3. Add your target URL and anchor text, and pay into escrow.
  4. The publisher adds the link and sends us the URL.
  5. We check the link is there, followed and on an indexable page. Then the publisher is paid.

Anchor text for niche edits

Keep it natural. Your brand name, the page title or a descriptive phrase works better than the exact keyword you want to rank for, especially in an existing article. More in our guide to anchor text.
